Time, time, time, see what’s become of me, while I looked around for my possibilities…
And it’s time, time, time that you learned…
I need a little time to think things over…
I haven’t looked at my blog for a week and a half. I love looking at my blog, so there is only one reason for this – time. In the past two weeks I’ve working away in the flat fens of East Anglia and in the shadow of the mountainous Lake District. Rushing from east coast to west coast, visiting my parents, taming wild rescue ponies and working on social media for the awesome PACT Animal Sanctuary, sorting out my parent’s camper van (packed to the brim with charity stuff), managing projects, going to a Foo Fighters gig, running the Newcastle branch of the Women’s Equality Party, going to my niece’s hen do dressed as Samantha from SATC, doing great crested newt surveys in the evenings and environmental education for schoolchildren in the daytime. Regular readers will know how much I love Benefit cosmetics (if not, check out my post Friends with Benefit) – so imagine how happy I was when I heard about the campaign they’re running for the whole of May. As a thank you you’ll also receive a free, full sized Gimme Brow volumising fibre gel!

Yippee! It’s Red Nose Day! For any non-UK readers who haven’t heard of it before, it’s an awesome day of fun to raise money for Comic Relief. the money raised is spent to transform the lives of millions of people, both at home in the UK and across Africa, and is much beloved by us Brits. Comic Relief alternates every other year with Sport Relief, which raises money for the same good causes, but with less custard pies and more hard graft. Basically, it doesn’t matter what you do, just do something funny for money! If you can’t do, watch Comic Relief all of Friday evening on the BBC, and give some money! I managed to fit in a couple more days over the holidays helping to train some recently rescued welsh mountain ponies at PACT Animal Sanctuary. The seven tiny, beautiful ponies are as wild as can be, having never been handled.
As well as attempting some Monty Roberts “Horse Whisperer“ techniques, I’m finding that it’s a brilliant mindfulness exercise. Continue reading Wild, wild horses
